The largely self-taught Austrian artist Alois Leopold Seibold was a private student of the etcher and engraver Victor Jasper in Vienna. In 1909 he was represented for the first time in an exhibition by the Hagenbund, of which he was a member from 1912 to 1924. From 1925 to 1939 the artist was a member of the Vienna Secession and from 1940 in the Vienna Künstlerhaus. His oeuvre primarily includes landscapes and sacred themes. Further artists and styles: Victor Jasper, etching, copperplate engraving, Hagenbund, landscape painting, genre painting, Georg Jung, Otto Rudolf Schatz, Maximilian Reinitz, Carry Hauser, Secession, Künstlerhaus
