Bod Péter Bethlen Kata udvari hitszónokaként kezdte tudományos és irodalmi működését. 1746-ban Kolozsvárott nyomtatta ki első munkáját a Leksikont, 657 betűrendbe szedett bibliai kifejezés magyarázatával. XIX. századi, bordázott gerincű, kissé kopott, enyhén sérült félbőr-kötésben. Borda 4612.
