The registry book of the Magyar Automobil Club (Hungarian Automobile Club).
The first president of MAC – founded in 1900 – was Count Pál Szapáry, and the co-president was Count Mihály Károlyi, who later became the prime minister of Hungary. From 1907, the association became a member of the international association, “Association Internationale des Automobile Clubs Reconnus”. The registry mainly contains lists related to members' travels abroad, including customs certificates, temporary traffic permits, etc. It also includes several official documents or their copies. The entries are from 1907 to 1912. At that time, the president of the club was Count Sándor Andrássy. Among the members, in addition to Archduke József, there are also representatives of the Odescalchi ducal, Dessewffy, Pallavicini, Wenckheim, Széchenyi, Lónyay, Sigray, Teleki, Zichy and Szapáry families. In addition, the names of Count Mihály Károlyi, Baron Mór Herczog, Manfréd Weiss, Adolf Kohner, Albert Wodianer, Emil Gerbeaud, as well as former and later prime minister László Lukács and Count Móric Esterházy appear on the lists.
