Freschot, Casimirus: Ristretto dell’ historia d’ Ungheria
Bologna, 1686. Giacomo Monti. (12)+472p. A mű Esztergom 1684. október 28-i visszavételének leírásáig a szerző Idea generale del Regno d’ Ungheria (Bologna, 1684) című munkájának szinte szó szerinti utánnyomása, azonban Buda bevétele arra indította, hogy könyvét kibővítse és más címet adjon neki. A bevezető rövidebb, mint az Ideában és a keresztények közös harcát dicsőíti. Magyarország történetének rövid összefoglalása után a közelmúlt eseményeinek, I. Lipót uralkodásának szenteli a legnagyobb teret. Részletesen szól Buda 1686-os ostromáról és elfoglalásáról. Freschot különös érdeklődéssel fordult Európa középső része felé, munkáiban együtt írja le a történeti eseményeket és az adott ország vagy város földrajzi helyzetét. Források széleskörű felhasználásával dolgozott. Az Idea fő forrása Nadányi János Florus Hungaricus-a (lásd árverésünk 103. tételét) volt. Korabeli, enyhén kopott bőrkötésben.
