Lyon, 1652. Pierre Rigaud. (22)+846+(80)p. Richly illustrated with intertextual woodcuts. The lower part of the title page replaced by copy.
The author was a prominent figure of the 16th-century medicine, serving as the surgeon to Charles IX. His innovations in military surgery are noteworthy, and his contributions to surgical and dental instruments and artificial limbs are significant. His complete works were first published in 1575, and this is the eleventh edition.
