Full description

Scene of the capture of Imre Thököly, with oval bust portrait above and depiction of his arrest at Várad below. On 15 October 1685 he was seized by Ahmed Pasha of Várad, who intended to hand him over to the imperial forces in exchange for better terms. When this failed, he was taken to Belgrade, where he was released three months later.
Dimensions: 270×185 (310×215) mm.
