Handwritten book of charitable trust (Hevra Tsedakoth) of the Jewish Community of Cece (PINKAS) from Fejér county.
Front-page is colourfully painted with motives of colomns, lions, flowers and griffin. In the middle of the front page there is a handwritten acrostical poem, where word of CECE is spelled. On the same page there is a subscription in Hebrew of "Closed before the holy sabbath, on 4th of Nisan according to the little calendar in the year of 591 (=1831)” On the next page preface written in Hebrew, then numbered Rule of the Trust can be found. Following pages are the alphabetical index of names wtritten in the book. 279 Hebrew numbered pages with calligraphic scriptures of the names of the members, and the descriptions of their donations. The last scripture dated to 1861. (In 1840 398, later, in 1869 225 Jewish inhabitant lived in the village Cece.) Original, worn and a bit injured hardback cover. Bound in leather. On the cover there is a gilded subscription in Hebrew: „Mainbook about the income of the local fund, ruled and customs of the Jewish Community of Cece in the year of 586. according to the little calendar (=1828).” Coloured edges. SPECIALLY RARE!
