Buda-Pest, 1848. Bucsánszky Alajos. 16p. With woodcut on the title page showing the steamboat Mészáros on the Danube, with Pressburg Castle in the background and a cheering crowd in the foreground.
In his „A magyar ponyva tüköre” (Mirror of Hungarian Chapbooks), Péter Pogány calls Putnoki “the chapbook minstrel of the War of Independence,” while noting of the publisher: “In the year of revolution he poured forth nationalistic news-sheets and battle ballads by József Putnoki.”
