A négy kötet tartalmaz összesen 3 rézmetszetű portrét (Gessner, Huber, Diderot) és 48 egész oldalas rézmetszetű illusztrációt, amelyeket J. M. Moreau le Jeune rajzai után Le Mire, Delvaux, Girardet, Simonet, van Ghendt és más művészek metszettek. Minden tábla előtt védő hártyapapír.

Egységes, 1920 körül készült, álbordás, díszes, dúsan aranyozott, vaknyomásos vörös egészmaroquin kötésben, aranyozott lapszélekkel. A kötés szignált: „Bíró Márta, Budapest”. Gyönyörű példány.
