Az első kötetből 1 kihajtható tábla, a második kötetből 3 kihajtható
tábla és 1 térkép hiányzik.
A kötetekben levő táblákon csataképek és egy Magyarországtérkép.
Számos kiadása ismert a némelyektől Vanel montpellieri adóhivatali
tanácsosnak, másoktól Robert Townsonnak tulajdonított
„Histoire des troubles de Hongrie” című műnek. A XVII. századi
magyar történetnek ezen értékes forrását történetítróink gyakran
idézik, de a kiadások nagy száma is azt mutatja, hogy a XVII. századi
Európa nagy érdeklődést tanúsított a magyar ügyek iránt.
Apponyi 1267.
A mű Apponyi szerint három kötetben teljes, és 20 „könyvet”
foglal magába, azonban a XIII. könyvtől nem Vanel, hanem egy
ismeretlen szerző munkája. Árverésünkön csak az első két kötet szerepel.
A két rész egybekötve, korabeli bordára fűzött, aranyozott gerincű
egészbőr kötésben, kissé kopottas állapotban.
