Rare, 1525 issue of Lorenz Fries' publication of Martin Waldseemüller's 1513 woodcut, depicting Eastern Europe. Our copy is the second of the two Strasbourg issues of Fries' Ptolemaeus "Geographicae enarrationis libri octo". The title, additional Latin text surrounded by fine xylograph border on the back. Restored. Some crack lines and tears strengthened by Japanese paper and leaf casting. With several small stains. Dimensions: 395 x 525 (470 x 605) mm.
