It is misleading that its previous owner copied the title page of the independent edition of the first work published a year earlier, it is a publisher's colligate. The publication contains two independent works by the Spanish Jesuit author. The first is a confession manual, and the second summarizes the necessary information for the dying person, his helper and his relatives to obtain eternal salvation. The first work was initially published independently in 1667. In the same year, another publication with a separate title page, re-starting signature mark and page numbering was added to it. Károly Szabó presented the latter as an independent piece, however, the fact that the table of contents at the end of the book refers to both works proves the intention of joint publication. In addition, in some of the copies, the year of printing was subsequently changed on the title page of the first work. In some cases, the dedications of the works are found separately, and in some cases, they are placed after the first title page on a single pair of leaves. Like for most copies available today, these subsequent changes were not made in our piece.
