35x25,4 cm, mezzotinto. Szignált.
Bernhard Vogel német rézmetsző tanulmányait Augsburgban kezdte. Az akkortájt újraéledő mezzotinto (borzolásos) technika két német kiválósága, Christoph Weigel és Elias Christoph Heis, (akinek lányát vette feleségül) voltak tanítói. Mesterévé vált a portrékészítésnek, később Nürnbergben elsősorban Kupeczky után készített képeket.
A metszet alatt ceruzával írva: „Gr. Strattmann Franciska Herceg Batthyány Károly neje. II. József császár volt nevelője“.
