A latin nyelvű felirat szerint: „Eger, Felső-Magyarország legerősebb bástyája, melyet a török gyakran hiába ostromolt. Végül III. Mohamed alatt elfoglalták Anno 159” (6).
Színezetlen rézmetszet, a város épületei felett magasodó vár szép képe hitelesen ábrázolja a végvári harcok fontos színhelyét. Mérete: 325 X 455 mm.
