A hat rézmetszetű tábla megjelent: Calmet, Dom Augustin. An Historical, Critical, Geographical, Chronological, and Etymological Dictionary of the Holy Bible… London, 1732. J. J. and P. Knapton…1732… három kötetben. Metszeteink a 2. kötet illusztrációi.
Antoine Augustine Calmet (1672-1757) francia bencés szerzetes és teológus, aki számos tanulmánykötetet adott ki a bibliai történetek értelmezésére. Fő műve: Dictionnaire historique critique de la Bible címmel 1722-ben jelent meg először 2 kötetben (1730-ban már 4 kötetben), angolul Calmet’s Dictionary of the Bible néven. E munkát az 1720-as, 30-as években számos nyelvre lefordították.
Tiszta lapok, erős levonatok, jó állapotban.
