A kolozsvári jezsuita nyomdát a csíkszentmártoni Antalfi János erdélyi püspök, a nagyszombati egyetem egykori hallgatója adományozta a Társaságnak. A műhely mindenekelőtt az akadadémiátt szolgálta tankönyvek és vizsgatételek megjelentetésével; hitbuzgalmi munkák s tanárok írásainak egész sora is itt látott napvilágot. A nyomtatványok nyelve zömében latin volt Szép korabeli vaknyomásos, préselt egészbőr-kötésben, keretléces, növényi ornamentikával díszített táblákkal, a fölső táblán a Jézus-Társaság emblémájával, a hátsó táblán bárói nemességet jelölő hétágú koronával és nehezen olvasható monogrammal.
