Sajtóanyag a Polgár Galéria 50. - Ékszer és Műtárgy aukciójáról
A Polgár Galéria idei első aukcióján, 2004. március 22-én közel 300 tétellel várja a nagyközönséget. Talán a hölgyeknek kedvez leginkább a 150 ékszer tétel, melyek között sárga- és fehérarany mellett platina ékszereket is árverezünk. A briliánsok között több az 1 karát feletti, közülük is kiemelkedik egy 2 karátos Cartier szoliter gyűrű (kikiáltási ára: 2 200 000 Ft), valamint egy Art-Deco stílusú bross (kikiáltási ára: 280 000 Ft).
A műtárgyak között valószínűleg újra nagy érdeklődés fogja kísérni a különböző Zsolnay kerámiákat, melyek az 1880-as illetve az 1930-as évekből származnak. Árverésre kerül néhány gyönyörű üvegtárgy, ritka Herendi porcelán és Kovács Margit kerámia is.
Az ezüstök között több szelence, kiöntő, kínáló, tálca és nagyon szép teáskészlet található. Egy különleges, aranyozott ezüstpohár kikiáltási ára 120 000 Ft.
Természetesen több bronz szobor is kalapács alá kerül majd , többek között Székely Károly, Beszédes János László és Jankovics Gyula művei. Henry Chapu vörös és fehér márvány kombinációjú büsztje 550 000 Ft-os nyitóáron kerül a közönség elé.
Külön figyelmet érdemelnek a keleti műtárgyak, melyek közül egy XIX. századi japán lakk váza 320 000 Ft kikiáltási árról indul, az ugyancsak XIX. századi japán füstölő (Koro) licitje pedig 650 000 Ft-nál kezdődik.

1. These conditions of sale constitute the buyer's entire agreement with The Polgár Gallery and Auction house and the vendor.
2. The auctioneer acts as an agent on behalf of the vendor. The lots called up are in succession as in the catalogue. Buyers indicate their wish to bid by raising their hand. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer at the hammer price plus any other amounts due hereunder and any dispute shall be settled at the auctioneer's absolute discretion. Any bidder acting for any person who is not bidding shall be jointly and severally liable with that person for the satisfaction of all obligations and liabilities hereunder.
3. In case of listed work of art the Hungarian museums reserve the right to buy the item at the hammer price. The listed work of arts are marked with "védett" (law 1993 book no 9), and cannot be exported abroad.
The Hungarian Museums also reserve the right to record the name and address of the buyers of "védett" items.
4. The buyer has to pay 20% of the hammer price, as deposit, in cash immediately after the sale. The amount due may be charged to a credit-card, in this care 3% extra charge is added to the final price. In case the whole price is paid, the buyer can have the object after the sale. A possibility to pay the amount over the deposit within the space of 3 days is rendeced buy the agent. The deposit is part of the hammer price on condition that it is paid within 3 days.
In the case of absentee or telephone bids either a deposit of some 50% of the top limit or a bank guarantee will be required, besides name and address and proof of identity (at least 2 days before the sale).
5. The buyer is obliged to pay a fee of agent per item. The fees are the following: up to 3 000 000 HUF 18%, from 3 000 001HUF 15%. In terms of the 1994. LXXII law, the buyer must also pay an artist royalty, an amount of 5%, after the following categories of items: paintings, graphic art, duplicated graphic art, statues and tapestry. Furthermore, in terms of the 1996. XXIX law the buyer has to pay a cultural allowance, an amount of 1%.
6. In the case of non-payment within three days of the date of the sale the auctioneer reserves the right to reject or ignore bids made by or on behalf of the defaulting buyer, and keep deposits.
7. Immediately after the sale the buyer assumes responsibility for the lot, including any loss or damage and transportation.
The auctioneer is not responsible for any damage occurring after the sale or during packing or shipping.
8. No seller may bid, nor may any third party bid on the seller's behalf. A bought and paid for item cannot be re-auctioned immediately unless in cases of doubt or error the auctioneer in his sole discretion may re-open the bidding.
9. All goods are sold with all faults and imperfections and errors of description. Illustrations in the catalogue are for identification only. Buyers should satisfy themselves prior to the sale as to the condition of each lot and should exercise and rely on their own judgment as to whether the lot accords with its description.
10. The auctions house is not responsible for errors of descriptions or for the genuineness or authencity of any lot, no warranty whatever is even by the auctioneer regarding condition, provenance, authencity authorship, or identity of any lot and any express or implied conditions or warranties are hereby excluded. No statement whether in the catalogue, oral, or written, shall be deemed a representation or warranty.
11. No object will be sold under the call price. The auctioneer cannot be made responsible for the hammer prices and is under no obligation to re-offer the items at this price at any later date.
12. Prices are quoted in Hungarian forints and clients wishing to pay in foreign currency may do so. The amount will be converted ad the official rate of exchange at the Hungarian National Bank on the day of purchase.
13. The ownership of the lot purchased shall not pass to the buyer until payment has been made in full to Polgár Gallery of the total amount due as setforth herein. Any lot may be withdrawn by the auctioneer without any liability whatsoever to Polgár Gallery. The auctioneers also reserve the right to reject any bid. Polgár Gallery is not responsible for any errors or omissions made in connection with telephone or absentee bids.
14. Recalling non sold lots is possible.
15. If the purchased item is going to be exported, there is a value depending export-license fee to be charged in addition.
16. The Polgár Gallery guaranties that all the sold lots are genuine.
