Lonovics, László (b. 1951): Organic Layers 3.

Details:

László Lonovics has been participating in national and international exhibitions since 1976, and art lovers could see his works in Finland, Italy, The Ukraine, Serbia, Poland and Slovakia as well. In the late 1970s he created panel paintings in plane constructive style and made silkscreen graphic pieces. Later his interest turned to artistic expression through light.

”The paintings by Lonovics are deprived of material, the remaining forms, bodies and details suggest shining. The energy freed by light reaches the emotions of the viewer by its inner rhythm, motion, cadence and infinity.” – Csillag Deák, Bárka Online

”The works of art by L. Lonovics, contemporary yet traditional at the same time, offer the viewer not only a horizontal, but also a vertical approach thanks to the artist's unique ways of thinking and treating the subject. Each of his paintings encourages the viewers to place themselves in our home, that is the universe surrounding us and beyond opening up the horizon, observe its constituents and his or her own self.” – Judit Nikoletta Tóth, ArtNews
