A kötetben összesen 32 színezett, a halfajtákat részletesen, kidolgozottan ábrázoló metszet található, melyek természetes környetükben mutatják be a különböző halfajokat. Külön érdekessége, hogy a metszeteken a háttérben az adott területre jellemző hajófajtákat is ábrázolja.
