The article appeared in the "Letters to a Representative" column of the Magyar Újság newspaper. The founder of the newspaper, László Böszörményi, a member of the National Assembly, was convicted for publishing a letter from Kossuth. In connection with this, Irányi, who took over the editing of the journal, stands up for his party colleague in a public law commentary. The text contains numerous deletions and corrections.
