Nápolyban a jezsuita kollégium jogot tanult, és itt is doktorált, majd jogi pályára lépett. 1685-ben otthagyta az állását és körbeutazta Európát, eközben részt vett a Buda felszabadítására indult hadjáratban. 1687-ben tér vissza Nápolyba, majd megírja a magyarországi, és az európai útját is. (1689 'Relazione delle Campagne d'Ungerhia', 1693 'Viaggi in Europa') 1693-ban világ körüli útra indult, később az öt évig tartó utazásról írta az 1699-ben kiadott 'Giro del Mondo' c. művet. Ez az útja inspirálhatta később Jules Vernét a Nyolcvan nap alatt a föld körül c. könyv megírására. A könyv Gemelli Viaggi di Europájának folytatása, (és a kilenc kötetes 'Giro del Mondo' utolsó kötete) kiegészítve III. Károly (1685-1740) útjával Bécsből Barcelonába 1705-ben. II. Károly (1661-1700) spanyol király halála után, ami közvetlen vezetett a spanyol örökösödési háborúhoz (1701-1715) Korabeli papírkötésben, a gerincén cím felirattal 'Gemelli Giro del Mondo T. He learned law in the College of Jesuits in Naples, and doctorated here. Then he was working as a lawyer. In 1685 he travelled around Europe, and in Hungary he joined to the Christian armies besieging Buda. He returned to Naples in 1687 and wrote the Hungarian, and European trips. He went to world tour in 1693, it lasted for five years, and this trip may have inspired the work of Jules Verne's Around the World in Eighty Day. This book is the last piece of the 'Giro del Mondo', and the next sequel of the Viaggi of Europa, with some addition of the trip of Charles III (1685-1740) in 1705, from Vienna to Barcelona, after the death of Charles II. (1661-1700) king of Spain. The death of Charles II. led to the war of the spanish succestion. (1700-1715) Contemporary paperbinding, with title writing on the spine 'Gemelli Giro del Mondo T. VIII.', in Italian language, with a handwriting on the back of the first cover 'Ad usum F. Josephi Antonii Ferrari Min. Con. de Modoetia', with seal on the back of the front page 'Congregatio Minorum Conventualium Sancti Francisci Lombardiae Australis'. It refering to Giuseppe Antonio Ferrari (?-1775) Franciscan friar (theologist, and philosopher) in the Italian city of Monza (Modoetia). In good condition. Rare and special.
