Franz Xaver Petter (1791-1866) BIEDERMEIER FESTŐ SZŐLŐI ÉS BARACKJA
Watercolor cardboard, marked on the back, frame is damaged, which is not contemporary compared to the picture, it's around 1900, watercolor in beautiful condition! Picture M: 23 X 33.5 CM TOTAL M: 40 X 50 CM Franz Xaver Andreas Petter (October 23, 1791 - May 11, 1866) is an Austrian painter from VIENNA. Petter was born in Lichtental; his father was a porcelain painter and intended to pursue the same profession, but Petter showed an interest in oil painting. His master Johann Baptist Drechsler is a teacher at the "Academy of Fine Arts Vienna".
Franz Xaver Petter was one of the most important still life painters of the Biedermeier era in Vienna, painting lifelike fruit depictions and flowers in his watercolors. Petter's paintings were very popular with the Austrian nobility. His works can be seen in many museums around the world!
