Puskás Ferenc (1927-2006) mindössze 16 évesen mutatkozott be a Kispesti AC csapatában s vált a KAC, később a Budapesti Honvéd legendájává. 352 meccsen 360 gólt szerzett, az ötvenes évek válogatottjában, az "Aranycsapatban" pedig 85-ször lépett pályára, s 84 alkalommal volt eredményes, ő szerezte az "évszázad gólját" az angolok elleni 6-3 alkalmával, Olimpiát is nyert a csapattal 1952-ben, 1954-ben azonban "csak" ezüstöt szereztek a Világbajnokságon. 1958-tól a Real Madrid játékosa lett, ahol 180 alkalommal szerepelt, és 156-szor talált az ellenfelek hálójába, de a spanyol válogatottban is bemutatkozott, ahol négy mérkőzésen jutott szóhoz.
