Offener Befehl issued to 19-year old electrician Franz Mathis to travel from Budapest to Braila by way of Orsova to join S.M.S. Inn. Dated in Budapest on June 2, 1917.


Seal of the K.u.K. MARINEDETACHMENT KOMMANDO BUDAPEST front and back with the handwritten notation: ?Issued bread in kind for four days,? meaning that young Mr. Mathis probably had to do with stale bread for the four days he spent going from Budapest to Braila, where he arrived on June 6, 1917, according to the notation on the back of his Open Orders.
