Az összesen 24 humoros, kézzel színezett akvatinta-illusztrációt Thomas Rowlandson készítette. William Combe rendkívül népszerű "Doctor Syntax" sorozatának ez a negyedik, utolsó darabja. Abbey, Life 268. Tooley 413. XIX. század végén készült, álbordás, díszes, dúsan aranyozott világosbarna egészbőr kötésben, aranyozott lapszélekkel. A kötés az első röpülő előzék verzóján szignált: "Bound by Baytun (Riviére), Bath. England". Gyönyörű példány.
