The artist had painted the fresco of Common Council in Komló after this painting.
József Breznay (1916-2012) was born in Budapest and started his arts education by Bertalan Karlovszky and István Szőnyi, later he became the auxiliary of Szőnyi. Before the WW II. he obtained the so called Roman scholarship from the famous Roman-Hungarian Academy which was a melting pot and a center of Hungarian young artists. After the WW II. the communist regime needed artistic assistance to ackknoledge their system,. Komló was a typical communist miner city built and developed by the communist party. Breznay was charged with the painting a fresco to the wall of the Common Council.
